Brunel is currently searching for an Engineering & Reliability Manager for direct hire with our client located in Cheyenne, WY. Our client is a global leader in the commercial explosives industry.

This plant based position will manage the Plant Risk & Reliability Team providing leadership to the risk and reliability program, maintenance program, root cause failure analysis and plant troubleshooting. Responsible for identifying and mitigating operational risks to the plant. Responsible to lead a team of 6-8 direct reports.



  • Engineering degree in: Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical or Chemical
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing plant maintenance and/or engineering in: chemical manufacturing, power generation, or similar heavy industrial plant
  • Technically competent in the management of: pressure equipment, rotating equipment and/or instrument/electrical systems. Ideal candidate will have expertise in rotating equipment
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of static plant equipment, materials, failure mechanisms, fabrication and repair processes and procedures
  • Experience with safety and quality management systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing excellence models, systems and processes relating to asset capability and reliability
  • Experience in risk identification, analysis and mitigation strategies
  • Ability in optimizing reliability, reducing failure rates, increasing uptime, statistical analysis, etc.
  • Strong understanding of RBM (risk-based maintenance) and RCM (reliability centered maintenance)
  • Skilled in various methods of root cause failure analysis and incident investigations
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship



  • Competitive salary based on education and experience $120K to $150K plus 20% STI bonus
