About this role

We’re hiring an highly motivated and experienced Geologist who will be part of our client’s multidisciplinary exploration team, reporting to the VP Exploration. In this role, you will be part of the core team responsible for identifying targets, conducting rigorous geologic assessments of ground for potential claim-staking or acquisition, and performing geologic analysis as well as planning and conducting field work on our properties. The Geologist will also work closely with our client’s team of data scientists and software engineers to support development of our internal software tools and to evaluate prospects generated by our client’s proprietary system


  • Compile and evaluate various datasets at regional to prospect scales and conduct assessments of exploration potential
  • Review and evaluate geoscience data provided by potential sellers of assets or joint venture partners
  • Perform a range of geological analyses and work collaboratively with data scientists
  • Contribute to the design, budgeting, permitting, and execution of field programs



  • An advanced degree in geoscience; a Ph.D. is preferred.
  • minimum of 2 years’ experience in exploration geology or economic geology, not including graduate study.
  • An excellent understanding of geologic fundamentals, ore systems, and mineral exploration.
  • Experience evaluating ore-deposit prospectivity using field techniques and geospatial software, and an interest in doing both field and desktop work.
  • Insatiable intellectual curiosity.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of geostatistics and coding (Python).
  • Proficiency in QGIS, Leapfrog, and ioGAS.
  • Experience with magmatic sulfide and/or sediment-hosted copper systems.
