Brunel are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a global provider of agricultural and environmental solutions in Karratha, a key community in the region with a resource focus and a relaxed, friendly lifestyle.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Influence and advise leaders and workers on H&S matters, requirements under OSH legislation.
  • Promote safety culture by performing field-based Walk Observe Communicate (WOC) and Systematic Inspections.
  • Manage specific H&S related projects and deliver work to meet desired objectives and within agreed timeframes.
  • Lead incident investigations and be a mentor for others, taking accountability for investigations lead.
  • Coordinate Injury Management, including Return to Work development and monitoring.
  • Develop, disseminate and deliver H&S notices, toolboxes and shared learnings.
  • Coordinate and support the HES Representative program (CHESC).
  • Participate in and facilitate risk assessments for work activities as required.
  • Review Management of Change (MOC) requests for H&S considerations and impacts.
  • Develop and format high quality documents, presentation material and internal reports for stakeholders.
  • Undertake assigned audits and self-assessments of company H&S Management System.



  • Experience working in health & safety role in the petrochemical or resource sector.
  • Diploma in OH&S / WHS or equivalent tertiary qualifications in health & safety.
  • Injury Management & Return to Work (RTW) experience.
  • ICAM Lead Investigator certification or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence.
