On behalf of our client, a High Profile Global Oil & Gas Group, Brunel has an exciting opportunity for a Health Environment & Safety (HES) Specialist to join the HES Find & Develop Team. Reporting to the HSE Supervisor for CO2/Wells this role will be based in Perth requiring occasional site travel.

The HSE Specialist – Wells manages the implementation and sustainability of the Managing Safe Work Process (MSW), including the associated corporate required OE standards (eg Confined Space Entry). Also, the role manages and prioritises work related to the Contractor Health Environment and Safety Management (CHESM) process and the Motor Vehicle Safety (MVS) process.

  • Develop HSE Execution Plan and ongoing implementation support to the Wells Lead
  • Development, review, and assurance of Wells HSE exhibits and SOW requirements and Contractor HSE management assurance
  • Support the Wells execution team in development of related construction HSE management system process documentation and execution advice
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Approvals to Provide Wells direct support to Safety Case and Environmental Plan Approvals
  • Commitment to Health, Environment and Safety and best practices



  • Broad knowledge of Operational Excellence (OE) processes and experience supporting practical application of them in a field execution environment
  • Understanding of the OE Assurance framework
  • Previous experience in building and maintaining positive working relationships with contractors/business partners and internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, and the ability to engage with all levels of the business in a professional and courteous manner and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and build key relationships that contribute to high-class business results
  • Demonstrated commitment to the company values of integrity, partnership and trust and achieving an incident and injury free environment
