Brunel are seeking a FIFO Materials Logistic Officer to work for one of the largest Mining companies in WA. Fantastic team and new camp facilities. Walk into work looking forward to the day.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop, maintain and facilitate relationships with key project stakeholders and with Service Providers, Suppliers and as required, Government, Local and Regulatory Authorities.
  • Ensure accurate, effective and timely communication is maintained with Project Procurement Team, Suppliers, Engineers, QAQC, Safety, Health & Environment and other defined parties.
  • Ensure communication is maintained with Management and Site Logistics functions in relation to delivery schedules to eliminate and minimise risk in terms of both cost and schedule.
  • Ensure transportation of project cargo is in accordance with project insurance requirements.
  • Prepare clear and auditable freight volume and cost forecasts, as directed.
  • Attend shipping load-out of specialised equipment to ensure transit and ensure receiving logistics functions are carried out safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Attend Supplier /Contractor meetings and provide weekly and monthly progress reports.



  • Project logistics experience with an emphasis on meeting project schedule dates.
  • Knowledge of freight logistics processes including multi modal freight operations processes, international freight handling processes and procedures including documentation requirements.
  • Familiar with freight costing models and able to evaluate costing proposals to obtain the “least cost for service” agreements with logistics service providers.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience of internet Cloud based freight tracking systems.
  • Passionate about project logistics with a can-do attitude and ability to work to deadlines.
  • A self-starter with a positive approach to challenges.
