Seeking a Maintenance Engineer to work in Brisbane. This will be for a contract lasting 12 months initially.

This exciting role will be for a 12 month contract and be based in the central Brisbane office.

The Maintenance Discipline Engineer (Electrical AND/ OR Controls and Instrumentation OR Mechanical OR Rotating) has responsibility to provide maintenance discipline expertise and to support delivery of Maintenance and master data changes in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This requires ensuring continuous improvement in maintenance strategy/activity/cost performance, integrity performance, sparing and technical data integrity. The role will interface with Manage Supply Chain, MEC focal points, IAPS, Technical Engineering teams, CMMS master data team, and front-line staff, ensuring maintenance improvement and applications of standards/ strategies and data Integrity is in accordance with best practices and HSSE standards to meet business targets.
Principal Accountability:HSSE:
  • To act at all times in accordance with the Policy on Health, Safety and Environment and provide assurance activities accordingly.
  • Ensure broader impacts of proposed changes are considered and managed through the change
  • Ensure changes are in line with the CMMS maintenance data quality standard which includes bills of material, material masters, work instructions and job plans.
  • Implement maintenance changes through change requests including, but not limited to the creation of work instructions, job plans, inventory transition plans, training requirements, field roll out plans, technical bulletins
  • Provide technical query support including the provision of reactive obsolescence management, technical bulletin responses, and purchasing technical query resolution
Maintenance Execution:
  • Support the documentation of Maintenance Execution and Assurance activities effectively with Discipline expertise. This includes support to these activities pre and during Turnaround
  • Liaise with Operation and relevant Technical Authorities in line with Global requirements on MOC
  • Liaison across various functions as required to support the timely roll out of changes including engineering, supply chain, finance, IAPS, other MRTA functions
  • Where applicable creation of scopes of work and manage deliverables with vendors

  • This position will be responsible for implementing planned maintenance and asset BOMs to support delivery of safe and reliable production
  • Works closely with other Maintenance Engineers and field supervisors to identify and implement maintenance improvement opportunities
  • Everyone has a duty and the authority to stop work which they believe is unsafe – all staff, regardless of level or position have explicit authority to stop any working practice, process or activity, by any employee, contractor or third party, which they believe is unsafe and may potentially cause harm, or represents a future risk of harm, to any work colleague, or associated people and / inhabitants without fear of reprisal



  • Minimum of 8+ years oil & gas experience
  • Experience in project management and discipline engineering
  • Engineering contractor management experience
  • Proactive and visible HSE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions
  • Role will be based in Brisbane and will require travel to Chinchilla
  • Successful track record delivering integrated scopes within an Operation
  • Excellent problem solving, collaboration, communication, interpersonal, client-service, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to react and adjust to changing conditions and priorities in a live operation
  • Ability to track and report engineering deliverable progress
  • Experience in utilising Asset Planning and CMMS (Maximo) for the execution of work
  • Strong change management change skills and experience
  • Ability to manage multiple programs of work and achieve synergies Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
