About this role

We’re hiring Sourcing Manager, for a leading MNC to join their growing team. This position is based out in Gurgaon.

Sourcing Manager will be responsible for managing and developing India procurement in Metallic Supply Chain Castings Procurement of finished products from external suppliers, including all activities in the sourcing and technical qualification functions.

Objective of the position is to ensure the supply and availability of finished goods at optimal prices and meet quality requirements in order to maximize cost competitiveness and meet market demand.


  • Manages procurement of Castings (and possible other CNS PH´s) in India in a cost and performance effective manner
  • Strong follow-up of external cost evolution triggers and market trends for proper communication within the company
  • Through close collaboration with PL prepare an all-encompassing procurement strategy for CNS castings in India
  • Interact with regional and global management and procurement personnel to ensure compliance to BA strategies and objectives
  • Manages a continuous improvement program regarding external suppliers and benchmarks total cost and performance
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers of agreed materials for cost reductions and delivery schedules utilising initiatives such as consignment stock agreements etc.
  • Act in the identification of continuous improvement of costs in the suppliers, continuously evaluating technical conditions and feasibility to demand improvements on quality, price and service delivered
  • Manages and optimizes supplier distribution and logistics
  • Manages global commercial and legal compliance to Metso Outotec standards, policies and procedures
  • Manages global supplier base and implement appropriate KPI’s (product lead-time, quality levels, delivery accuracy level)
  • Ensures vendors protect Metso Outotec confidential information through preparing contract agreements
  • Travel required locally up to 70% of time annually



Engineering or equivalant degree in relevent subject.

12+ years experience in relevent filed with minimum 3 years as a manager in the same function

High level of computer skills is essential – SAP, Excel, Word, Power Point etc.

Strong financial performance: optimized supplier costs and performance results. Cost and performance vs. industry standards and competitors

Strong analytical skills. A bias for action and detail-oriented behaviors are required

Ability to collect data & information to make strategic analysis & recommendations

Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet the deadlines

Strong communication skills in English.

Ability to work in a team atmosphere with multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere

Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks and working in a fast paced environment.

Ability to travel frequently
