Mechanical Equipment Rotating Engineer

Montreal, QC with Canada Wide Travel

Schedule; 1-2 days/week

Duration; 8 weeks with possible extension

We’re hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer on a Part time, short term basis. The ideal Candidate should have a significant, broad working knowledge of Rotating power equipment in the Oil and Gas Industry.


The Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer will be conversant with plans and specifications, able to perform analysis, and provide reports on assigned tasks involving design and construction and testing of GT Compressors, GT Generators etc.

Able to be technically involved in the resolution of equipment and operational problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific issues during testing.




  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
  • 10 years relevant post graduate experience should be related Gas Turbine, Compressors, Generators etc. to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Rotating Equipment Engineering.
  • Good communications and presentation skills with fluency in English.
