About this role

We’re hiring a Mine Operations Supervisor for our mining client to join their leading and growing team. This position is a fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge. The work schedule is 14 days on site, 14 days off site: 12-hour workdays.


  • Coordinate and direct underground mine personnel
  • Prepare daily reports
  • Oversee drilling and blasting
  • Lead, organize and direct day-to-day underground development and production work according to schedule
  • Ensure that employees are provided with all of the necessary tools required to perform tasks safely and efficiently
  • Train employees and other duties and responsibilities as required
  • Monitor, adhere to, and apply Company safety procedures using all of the materials required to safely and efficiently conduct work
  • Complies with all Company standards, policies and procedures pertaining to appropriate conduct for employees




  • Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in an underground mining operation.
  • Previous supervisory experience is a definite asset.
  • The successful candidate should be eligible to complete Hard Rock Miner/First Line Underground Mine Supervisors Common Core
  • Extensive knowledge of underground gold mining.
  • Functional knowledge of mining and processing operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization, written and oral.
  • Strong leadership, management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality is essential.
