About this role
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance activities as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent or Field Superintendent (Second Line Supervisor (SLS)). You’ll be leading your group and will use your supervisory experience to build a team of high-performers.
For this role, you will be leading basic projects and/or simple Turnarounds (T/A). You’ll be a coach, training and mentoring your direct reports. You’ll ensure that all employees and contractors meet personnel and process safety, security, health, and environment (SSHE) requirements.
As a leader on site you will hold employees and/or contractors accountable for their field safety and execution performance (scope compliance, cost, quality, efficiencies, etc.). You’ll raise any major issues and safety concerns to the appropriate senior managers, and recommend training as required to head off potential issues.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring Best Practices, delivering on expectations, and checking all permitting process are followed. If you should be tasked with overseeing field execution work, then you’ll need cost control skills and appropriate experience on the factors that drive project/Turn Around implementation. You'll be collaborating with Planners/Schedulers and/or Outside Service Providers (OSP) to develop resource plans, verify and endorse OSP cost estimates.
There’s systems work at your desk too – you must ensure all activities are in compliant with internal management systems (e.g., Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS), Controls Integrity Management System (CIMS), Global Product Quality Management System (GPQMS)/Global Product Integrity Management System (GPIMS). You’ll be managing maintenance strategies, planning, scheduling and execution to ensure safety, reliability and integrity.
Your communication skills need to be strong – both spoken and written – so that you can address maintenance issues and actions across facilities with authority. You’ll frequently be involved in
Risk Based Work Selection (RBWS) to ensure the safest and most effective use of maintenance resources. It’ll be a key part of your role to actively remove barriers to help ensure all maintenance/project/turn-around work activities meet cost and time delivery goals.
Do you have the right combination of experience, skills and attitude? Can you demonstrate quality mechanical work expectations (ensuring work is “done right” and "done safely")?
If you have a Bachelor degree in Engineering (or the equivalent professional experience), we want your resume. Tell us about your risk-management experience, how you’ve managed critical maintenance activities and turnaround planning. You’ll need to show broad knowledge of design discipline standards, specifications, codes and appropriate safety criteria.
Please mention any experience in procedural reviews, or safety planning and execution of pipeline inspections.
