Brunel Australia has partnered with one of Australia’s leading Oil & Gas Operators, to successfully recruit and place a suitable Senior Planner. The Senior Planner will be responsible for providing planning, scheduling and progress measurement reporting services across overall Phase 2 Ichthys project and under the Phase 2 Planning Manager.

Rate: Competitive daily rate

Roster: Perth Based (Monday to Friday)

12 Month Contract – with view to extend

  • Coordinating the activities related to scheduling and planning and progress measurement
  • Ensuring that all planning requirements put in place by the Contractors shall be in line with overall Project objectives and comply with company specifications
  • Provide planning and scheduling input for cost forecasting, for reporting purposes together with analysis of reasons for any shortfall, potential bottlenecks, mitigating actions etc, as well as for periodic presentations to all parties involved
  • Ensuring availability at all times of an updated and accurate scheduling and progress measurement documentation
  • Participate to reviews and technical audits on scheduling & progress reporting as required.
  • Close coordination with Brownfields and Operations Planners for short term and long-term planning and scheduling.
  • Good understanding of Systems and Subsystems required to build up a detailed schedule
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, always ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment.
  • Ensure the Company’s commitment to and compliance with safety, quality and health regimes is reflected in all Contract and Procurement activities and documents.
  • Maintain Interface across divisions and business working groups contracts
  • Review and analyse impact on Critical path and/or contractual requirements.
  • Maintaining schedules at Project level, with analysis of critical path and potential clashes and proposal of remedial actions/solutions
  • Work Collaborately with Phase 2 Planning Manager to ensure all aspects of the project’s multiple timelines are accurately captured, maintained, and analysed to ensure on time delivery
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Enthusiastic attitude capable of positively influencing the team and various contractors and suppliers. Work to achieve common project goals and objectives.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or construction management
  • Extensive experience in Project Planning and Scheduling for EPC projects and Brownfield’s execution.
  • Experience in Offshore O&G projects.
  • Competence in Primavera (18 and above), SAP, and MS Office Project. Competence in Primavera Risk Analysis preferred
  • Competence in use of MS Office applications like Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Good Communication skills and fluency in English.
