Brunel Australia has partnered with one of Australia’s leading Oil & Gas Operators, to successfully recruit and place an Offshore Supervisor to support Inpex's Phase 2. The Offshore Supervisor will be responsible for supporting and assisting the CPF (Central Processing Facility) Site and Implementation Team to supervise the Phase 2 Integration and Commissioning team members, contributing to the successfully delivery of the Ichthys Topside Phase 2B (+2A) Topside Modifications.

  • Contributing to the successful delivery of Ichthys Topside Phase 2B (+2A) Topside Modifications.
  • Assist the CPF Site Implementation Team Lead with the safe and timely execution of project activities.
  • Support the CPF Site Implementation Team Lead with the day to running of Phase 2 project activities.
  • Provide a conduit between CPF and Perth office team to ensure clear and effective communication wtr priorities, technical queries and site surveys.
  • Promote an efficient work environment assisting the MSC, 3rd party contractors and vendors with executing scopes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Assist with offshore POB requirements and provide expert knowledge wrt trade utilisations and manpower efficiencies.
  • Support constructability reviews and development of implementation work packages and scopes of the work.
  • Assist in the development of robust schedule estimates for Phase 2 project activities.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, always ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment.
  • Ensure all personnel in the team, including contractors, are fully versed and compliant with the Company’s safety procedures and values.
  • Prepare a Personal Safety Commitment Statement and demonstrate compliance.
  • Ensure all activities minimize the impact on the environment in line with Company’s policies and requirements.
  • Assist the CPF Site Implementation Team Lead to Supervise the Phase 2 Integration and commissioning team members to ensure delivery in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Act as the CPF Site Implementation Leads delegate during their absence
  • Provide direct supervision of the MSC, 3rd party contractors and vendors.
  • Ensure Implementation activities are carried out as per the work packs and procedures.
  • Ensure work packs / procedures and associated documentation is complete, legible and archived accordingly.
  • Ensure implementation activities are carried out in a manner which minimises punch and carry over / re-work.
  • Assist with the smooth handover of sub-systems between Implementation, Commissioning and Operations teams.

  • Interface with the commissioning, procurement / materials and HSE team
  • Interface with the Offshore preparation team including SAP co-ordinators.
  • Participate in Offshore execution planning and preparation.
  • Liaise with the discipline engineers, site personnel and other stakeholders to ensure scopes are well defined and any queries or concerns are addressed.
  • Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrate proactive engagement with other stakeholders relating to the execution phase 2 Topside modifications.
  • Provide proactive leadership within Inpex Australia related to Brownfields Project activities.
  • Demonstrate and encourage empathetic teamwork as a member of a culturally diverse organisation

Requirements

Requirements

  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification or Engineering Degree
  • Minimum 10 years-experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years in a Supervision role.
  • Offshore experience on large project (Greenfield/Brownfield).
  • Multi-discipline experience (Structure/E&I/Piping…).
  • Pre-com / com experience.
  • Valid TBOSIET & Offshore Medical.
  • Working knowledge of: Upstream and downstream facility technologies - subsea, offshore processing facilities.
  • Highly competent, motivated person with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, pre- commissioning, installation, hook-up and commissioning of oil & gas facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and the ability to influence a wide range of senior stakeholders to successfully support the objectives and outcomes of this role.
