We’re hiring Principal Engineer – Metallurgy, for a leading MNC to join their growing team. This position is based out in Chennai.
Senior staff engineer position. Responsible for design, specification, selection and services relating to Metallurgy. Provides
technical expertise on corrosion, materials reviews, equipment fabrication, non-destructive examination (NDE), metallurgy, materials selection, quality assurance/quality control, failure analysis, insulation system designs, coating and painting system selections, and fire damage assessment. Set the fabrication requirements and define corrosion control or operational steps necessary to avoid expensive failures due to corrosion or metallurgical problems. MSHA/OSHA safety regulations knowledge is required. Assist in development of proposals and project scopes in collaboration with Proposal Lead. Participate in Process Safety review processes and development of HAZOP reviews. Provides technical guidance to junior team members. Perform Man-hour estimate, Develop MPP, Progress reporting, Implement catchup plan, Represent advocate and negotiate for Company with clients and contractors.
10 years of experience, specifically in Metallurgy. Experience in preparation of Material selection diagrams, Design Basis, Specification for insulation system, coating and painting, Review of vendor documents related to NDE, testing and material selection. Shall have strong negotiation skills. Qualification:- Degree in Metallurgy or Degree in Mechanical / Chemical with PG Degree in Metallurgy or Material Science. !! Shall be a Materials (Oil & Gas , Petrochemical field) specialist.!!
