About this role

A California energy company is seeking a Project Engineer to work closely with both project managers (PMs) and third-party engineers in support of their projects.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with energy and have three (3) years of professional experience in projects related to natural gas, gas processing plants, landfills, and/or renewable energy industry preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with PMs to execute the construction and commissioning
  • Assist with engineering reviews in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with engineering contractors and subcontractors to obtain project documentation.
  • Ensure document version control and critical information storage protocols are followed and/or developed.
  • Oversee commissioning and performance testing reviews.
  • Travel as needed.




Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings, i.e. P&IDs, site layouts, GAsm and mechanical drawings

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, adapt and be flexible to adjust to changing demands, timelines and priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, and AutoCAD
