About this role

We are hiring a Project Engineer to join an exciting new project in Colorado. This is a 14 month contract assignment with our client, a leading global technology and automation organization in the grocery e-commerce business. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience at a global recognized organization and explore permanent employment or join other projects around the US. This role offers between $ 30USD/hour - $37 USD/hour depending on experience and educational background.

  • Guide the local installer on how to receive material and perform the quality inspections on the components.
  • Escalate supply chain issues with the Supply Chain team and ensure the installation contractor has all necessary components on site to keep progressing with installation in accordance with the engineering drawings.
  • Coordinate where in the warehouse to stage the incoming materials.
  • Understand all critical incoming components to the construction site and escalate any delays with the larger team.
  • Manually input all incoming deliveries into the Google Suite Tracking Spreadsheets.
  • Work on various projects improving or creating organizational standards for storage and/or MHE installation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. Engineering Operations, Business Project Managers, and Engineering Supply Chain) and external stakeholders to ensure a successful delivery of project and handover to Go-Live.
  • Communicate across teams and to project stakeholders ensuring expectations are managed.
  • Ensure programmes stay on plan, budget and meet specification.
  • Risk identification and mitigation, anticipating supply chain shortages.
  • Continually validating on-site components against the contractors’ build rates to ensure there are no shortages in parts.
  • Take ownership of supply chain issues, seeing them through to resolution.
  • Working with planning colleagues to maintain realization programmes in accordance to a changing supply chain schedule.
  • Provide ad hoc project support post-handover in relation to spare parts components and key supply chain vendors
  • Maintain a good and up to date understanding of all current processes and systems requirements.
  • Follow agreed methodology, complete any documentation as required.
  • Seek value engineering opportunities across all solutions.
  • Regularly review business requirements, learnings, the market place, existing vendors etc. toidentify and recommend potential streams of work which may be of benefit to the organization.



  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or any related technical field such as Mathematics, Science, Data.
  • 2+ years of related project experience preferably in construction, automation, or automotive.
  • Supply chain or logistics experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience managing site materials loading and unloading.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort level dealing with internal stakeholders, clients, and contractors.
  • Experience working with and directing third party logistics contractors and site personnel is a strong asset.
