IntroductionThe Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s financial record-keeping and reporting requirements and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, corporate policies and procedures and common ethical practices. This position will work closely with other members of the Finance and Accounting team to drive company and departmental success while enhancing their own personal career development. It is a fast-paced environment and the job will require a strong work ethic, constant attention to detail and deadlines and the ability to learn quickly. A positive attitude will be constantly required while leading the success of the team by example.

• Responsible for one or more accounting processes – general ledger, intercompany transactions, leases (lessee and lessor), consolidations, accruals, inventory, fixed assets, depreciation and amortization, reserves and allowances
• Executes monthly and quarterly accounting close procedures including reconciliations, journal entries and financial analysis • Works with auditors to provide documentation and support for accounting transactions, balances and internal controls
• Prepares accounting research for existing and new transactions and understands or is able to learn new accounting guidance independently; guidance may be specific to US GAAP or other generally accepted accounting principles• Assists in resolution of any accounting, internal control and audit issues as well as assembly and review of working papers
Financial Reporting: • Assists and/or leads the preparation of daily, monthly and quarterly reports to internal and external stakeholders and ensures high quality of work in all report distributions
• Assist preparation of 10-Q and other quarter end footnotes and statements• Coordinates internal and external reporting and improves timeliness and accuracy of financial closing and reporting in addition to streamlining audit efforts
• Manages preparation and submission of reports for governmental agencies Other duties as assigned:
• Assists others in the Accounting and Finance Department as needed• Provides support during special projects, system implementations and/or unique transactions
• Delivers ad hoc reporting, sometimes with minimal structure or guidance provided

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required• Minimum of 4 years of accounting related experience required
• CPA or CPA-candidate preferred• Public accounting or previous public company experience required
• Great Plains or other ERP experience preferred• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of GAAP
• Proven ability to function as part of a diverse accounting team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions clearly and efficiently
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and communicate them to management• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with many personalities
• Ability to understand, analyze and interpret financial statements and financial data• Ability to multi-task and meet changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Consistently displays strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to work independently; self-starter and problem solver
• Advanced ability with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
