Brunel are seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to join a global leader in the mining sector on a FIFO 2/1 roster to the Pilbara. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance and management of contracting partners.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Review designs and spatial data, prepare GIS maps and issue land use permits.
  • Verify and ensure compliance is adhered to in line with legislative obligations.
  • Monitor, analyse and interpret hydrological and hydrogeological data.
  • Manage contractors, including audits, area inspections and reporting.
  • Develop and deliver site communications, including progress meetings and pre-starts.
  • Conduct risk management and incident investigations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to support internal teams.



  • Previous experience as a Senior Environmental Advisor in the resource sector.
  • Tertiary qualification within Environmental Science or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental approval process.
  • Knowledge of EMS and key facets of environmental management.
  • Ability to form positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to organise, coordinate and prioritise effectively.

After successfully making through the phone interview, a face to face interview will be scheduled between the candidate and recruiter. This session can be a more in-depth interview to review your communication and interpersonal skills.
