Senior Test Specialist – Hourly Rate Contract – PerthBrunel Australasia are seeking a Senior Test Specialist for our Mining client’s digitisation project team. This will will join a cross functional team, responsible for test design and execution across multiple work streams.

As the successful applicant you will have a strong background in converting requirements into test cases, leading & coaching business representatives on testing process and methodology, test case execution and progress reporting.

Your role will require excellent interpersonal skills, hands-on exposure to JIRA & Zephyr and will work closely with various Business Analysts and Project Managers.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders

Develop effective relationships with the various business analysts within the program team

Provide support as required to the work stream project managers

Analyse business and functional requirements, ensuring they are testable and accurate

Translate business and functional requirements into test cases ensuring coverage and traceability

Develop test cases and also instruct business users how to construct test cases

Actively track the progress of test execution

Accurately report testing progress

Contribute towards close-out reports

Workshops/Presentations

Develop presentations as required

Coordinate and facilitate workshops as required

Safety – Responsible for personal safety and the safe working practices for others

Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

5+ years recent experience working in a similar testing-centric position

Experience with developing Test Plans

Experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies

Excellent manual and regression testing experience, and assessing testing impacts across multiple test streams

Strong experience with raising, triaging and tracking defects raised during testing through to closure

Strong experience producing progress reporting

An exceptional team player with a collaborative approach; we need like-minded individuals who will openly share new ideas and feedback.

Interpersonal skills specifically demonstrated ability to:

Communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and team members to achieve desired outcomes.

Critical thinking and curiosity to understand problems and test case design solutions

Plan, prioritise and meet set deadlines under pressure.

Strong SQL skills

Experience with Test Automation frameworks and tools.

Experience with Performance Testing (Design & Execution)

Previous experience within the Mining Sector.
