About this role

A highly regarded renewable energy company in Kansas is seeking a motivated and experienced Contracts Specialist to work remotely. This specialist will focus on the preparation, review, negotiation and execution of the broad range of contracts required to support and deliver large-scale renewable projects as well as providing commercial support and assistance during the execution phase of projects as appropriate.

This position will provide critical support to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction team in addition to the broader business and external constituents as required.

Start Date: 8/1/21


  • Assist the Director of Procurement in prepping procurement documents and agreements for large-scale renewable projects.
  • Support bid evaluations.
  • Prepare purchase order documents and enter purchase order information into online purchasing application.
  • Communicate across internal project team to ensure consistent, accurate information.
  • Coordinate with project development teams to drive procurement efforts.
  • Support and assist with management between internal and external parties including consultants and contractors.
  • Review, expedite, support, and report progress of supplier submittals, contractor progress, and execution phases.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • 5+ Years of Procurement experience, preferably within Renewables sector.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Software experience: Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerBI, FirmX, SharePoint
  • Experience in solar or energy storage projects highly preferred
  • Experience of procuring Operation and Maintenance/Asset management/ Energy Management/Construction Contracts services for PV/Energy Storages
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
