We’re hiring a Senior Offshore Pipeline Engineer for one of our major clients in the oil and gas industry for a 6 month duration contract in Houston, TX.


  • Coordinate, supervise, and check offshore pipeline analysis results;
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and help develop drawings associated with offshore pipeline engineering work;
  • Provide procurement support related to pipeline design and installation engineering, including aiding in the generation of material take-offs, cost estimates, scopes of work, and the provision of technical clarifications;
  • Attend meetings and participate as a Company representative in Client or vendor meetings;
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and, as necessary, review written reports by others for validity and soundness of conclusions and recommendations.
  • Provide bid/tender engineering support related to pipeline design and installation engineering.



  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering with more than 10 years of relevant offshore pipeline design experience. PhD a plus.
  • Highly proficient with FEA software – Abaqus and Anasys
  • Working knowledge of pipeline hydraulics, mechanical design, control and protection systems, repair methods, and pipeline technology.
  • Proficient in the seismic analysis of pipeline systems for ALE and ELE.
  • Experienced in VAS modelling of pipelines
  • Experience with Pipe-in-pipe flowlines
  • Experience/Exposure with pipeline routing/spanning software, such as Fledermaus and Sage is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pipelay methods (S-Lay, J-Lay, Reel-Lay) and their impact on in-place operational design.
  • Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MathCad. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
